Apple introduced the M2 MacBook Air in 2022 bringing a redesigned chassis similar to that found in the 14 and 16-inch M1 MacBook Pro. The Gold colour found on previous models has been discontinued and two new colours introduced (Starlight and Midnight). Other changes include the reintroduction of MagSafe charging and a 1080p FaceTime HD camera.
