Delays to Apple lead times

Apple’s lead time for shipping products is unusually long at the moment, with the blame being placed on COVID lockdowns in Shanghai. Digitimes is reporting that Apple’s OEM manufacturer Quanta is currently running at severely reduced capacity.

Current estimated dispatch times:

14 and 16-inch MacBook Pro: 7-9 weeks
MacBook Air: 6-8 weeks
Mac Studio: 6-9 weeks

These shipping estimates could also be optimistic as it is being reported that customers who ordered devices at the beginning of the year and who have not yet received their devices are seeing their shipping dates slip, despite initially being told 4 weeks.
