iMac M1 (2021): the most affordable way into the 24-inch iMac. Still fast for browsing, email, office work, photos and family use, and it supports Apple Intelligence.
On the M1 and M3 iMac, the 2-port model has two Thunderbolt / USB 4 ports and a lower GPU core count (7-core on M1, 8-core on M3). The 4-port model adds two extra USB 3 ports and a faster GPU (8-core on M1, 10-core on M3). Purple, Orange and Yellow are only available on 4-port M1 and M3 models.
On the M4 iMac, the 2-port model has an 8-core CPU and GPU with two Thunderbolt 4 ports. The 4-port model has a 10-core CPU and GPU, four Thunderbolt 4 ports and supports two external displays. All seven colours are available on both M4 versions.
Yes, every Apple silicon iMac (M1, M3 and M4) supports Apple Intelligence on macOS Sequoia 15.1 or later. Older Intel iMacs do not support Apple Intelligence.
Nano-texture glass was a new display option on the iMac M4. The glass is etched at the nanometre level to scatter light, dramatically reducing glare and reflections in bright rooms while keeping the image sharp. It was an extra-cost option from Apple, available on 4-port (10-core) models, and we list it as a separate display choice on those listings. It should only be cleaned with the Apple Polishing Cloth. Standard glass gives a slightly more vivid, glossy image and is the better choice for rooms with controlled lighting.
No. Apple discontinued the iMac 27-inch in 2022 and it is no longer part of our range. As an Intel Mac it does not support Apple Intelligence, and Apple has confirmed that macOS Tahoe is the last version of macOS for Intel Macs.
If you want a 27-inch 5K screen, the modern equivalent is a Mac mini or Mac Studio paired with an Apple Studio Display, which uses the same size and resolution screen. For an all-in-one, the Apple silicon iMac 24-inch is faster than any 27-inch Intel iMac for most everyday and creative tasks.
No. On the iMac 24-inch, memory and storage are built into the Apple silicon design and cannot be upgraded after purchase, so choose the right configuration up front. If you need more space later, iCloud Drive or an external SSD are easy options.
The iMac 24-inch comes in seven colours: Silver, Pink, Blue, Green, Purple, Orange and Yellow. On the M1 and M3, Purple, Orange and Yellow are only available on 4-port models. On the M4, all seven colours are available on both 2-port and 4-port models, in lighter, more pastel shades than earlier generations.
Every refurbished iMac comes with a compatible Apple power adapter and cable. A colour-matched Magic Keyboard and Magic Mouse are included if you select them at checkout, or you can choose "No mouse or keyboard" and save if you already have your own.
